New Mexico Children’s Foundation funds eight STEM education grantees serving 4,092 students this year.
These programs are reaching kids in classrooms, communities, and tribal nations across New Mexico:
- Inspired by Science in Carlsbad — 2,000 students, hands-on science education in Eddy County
- NM Network for Women in Science & Engineering — 1,000 girls statewide in STEM pathways
- SE-NM Homeschool Hub — robotics and STEM access for homeschool families in Eddy and Lea Counties
- STEM Santa Fe — serving Santa Fe and surrounding Pueblos
- Ke’yah Advanced Rural Manufacturing Alliance — technical workforce training on the Navajo Nation
Applied Dynamics Initiative, STEM is Child’s Play Foundation, and International Space Hall of Fame Foundation
New Mexico ranks last in education for the ninth consecutive year. STEM investment at the community level is one of the most direct tools we have to change that trajectory.
