News Alert: Paint Spill Near Totavi Snarls Traffic Flow!

News Alert:

Approximately 50-75 gallons of white paint spilled from a vehicle traveling eastbound on N.M. 502 leaving Los Alamos. 

Los Alamos Police Cmdr. Oliver Morris said that the spill occurred at the blind spot before Totavi near the twin tanks. Traffic is being routed into the slow lane.

The New Mexico Department of Transportation just arrived on scene to begin cleanup operations, which may further impede traffic flow.

Police are urging motorists to slow down and exercise extreme caution while traveling through this area.
