New Nature Center Nears Substantial Completion

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Nature Center building is planned to reach substantial completion by mid-January.

The planetarium dome installation was complete just before the Thanksgiving holiday. Painting, light and plumbing fixtures, mechanical controls and low voltage wiring work remains on the interior of the building. On the exterior of the building painting, sidewalks and landscaping remain.

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center is collaborating with Los Alamos County to build the nature center and will operate it. For more information, click here.

A community-wide grand opening is anticipated for Earth Day April 22, 2015.
