In a ceremony Friday at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., Director Christopher Wray recognized the recipients of the 2017 Director’s Community Leadership Award.
The Albuquerque Division’s recipient is Veronica Martinez-Crook, co-founder of the New Mexico Sol Running Club. The club’s goal is for every child to feel like part of a team and to teach the values of persistence, teamwork, self-discipline, and respect for self and for others.
Martinez-Crook’s passion to help others has had a huge impact on her community.
DCLA recipients, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service. The FBI is grateful for the work of each of these individuals and organizations on behalf of their communities.
