Don Bullis, award-winning author and named as the New Mexico Centennial Author, will debut his new book – New Mexico Historical Chronology on:
- 1:15 p.m., Sept. 4 – Meadowlark Senior Center (Rio Rancho)
- 6 p.m., Sept. 4 – Bookworks (Rio Grande Blvd. NW, ALB.)
- 1 p.m., Sept. 16 – Treasure House Books & Gifts (Old Town, Alb.)
The Chronology is possibly the largest book ever published in New Mexico at 1028 pages. It will be a great aid to students, teachers, and historians. The book features everything in New Mexico history – people good and bad, events, and places. It is a companion to Bullis’ other two books; New Mexico Historical Encyclopedia and New Mexico Historical Biographies. This new title is quite possibly the most important and complete history of the 47th state since Ralph Emerson Twitchell over 100 years ago. The three-volume set represents almost 2,900 pages.
His books have won: The Eric Hoffer Award, New Mexico & Arizona Book Awards, IPPY Award, NMBA Design Award, National Federation of Press Women Book Award, New Mexico Press Women Award, and the Historical Society of New Mexico Dominguez Award.
All events are free and open to the public. For more information contact Rio Grande Books, lpdpress@q.com.
Bullis is available for talks and book signings through the region.
