New Mexico GOP Chairman On National Association Of Police Organizations Endorsement Of President Trump

State GOP Chairman Steve Pearce

RPNM News:

ALBUQUERQUE — The National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) has formally endorsed President Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign.

In its endorsement, NAPO acknowledged the President’s public support for the men and women in blue across the nation, particularly at a time when police departments have been under attack.

NAPO’s endorsement also praises Trump for directing the U.S. Attorney General to aggressively prosecute anyone who assaults police officers.

RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce said normally police unions support Democrats and that this important endorsement certainly reflects a split in the Democratic Party as many on the left continue to attack police and push to defund departments. As skyrocketing crime continues across the country, it is reprehensible that anyone take this position.

“The endorsement of President Trump by the National Association of Police Organizations demonstrates Trump’s commitment to law enforcement and its mission in our nation,” Pearce said. “He has and will always defend our police and understand the vital role they play in our cities and all of our communities. Trump truly is the Law and Order President, who understands that these tireless men and women risk their lives each day to protect our citizens and keep our communities safe.”

About NAPO

NAPO represents more than 1,000 police units and associations and more than 241,000 law enforcement officers.
