SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Veterans Services (DVS) is hosting a live Facebook discussion on Veteran Suicide Prevention and Awareness tomorrow 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3.
Veterans, family members, and friends can join this discussion on the DVS Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/nmdvshealthcare2015.
DVS Healthcare Coordination Division Director Jemia Warner will be joined by representatives from the New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS), the American Legion, and the Gallup Vet Center to discuss services available for at-risk veterans here in New Mexico.
DVS Director Warner also will discuss the importance of the 2021 S.A.V.E Motorcycle Ride on Sept. 11-12. These are multiple-stop, all-day rides—one each in northern and southern New Mexico—which provide learning opportunities at each stop about suicide awareness and prevention assistance for veterans and their families here in New Mexico.
