COUNTY News:

Five lucky individuals were winners in July’s free flight giveaway contest for round trip flights on New Mexico Airlines, the company under contract to the County that provides commercial airline service between Los Alamos Airport and Albuquerque’s Sunport.

Winners:

• Joseph Baiardo;
• Mary Barrus;
• Steve Ciddio;
• Opal Lee Gill; and
• Clifford Hewitt.

The five winners were all awarded gift certificates for the free round trip flights after their names were selected in a random drawing held last week.

Individuals completed a short survey about the airlines and provided their contact information during Atomic City Transit shuttles to and from the fireworks display July 4 at Overlook Park or during the summer concert at Ashley Pond Park on July 11 for their chance to win one of the flights.

More than 800 entries were received for the contest.
