Improvements to Central Avenue are underway including changes to street and pedestrian lighting, which was being installed Thursday near 20th Street.

Improvements also include mill and overlay of asphalt, upgrade all sidewalk ramps to ADA standards, possible changes to crosswalk locations, concrete pedestrian crossings and tree removal and replacement.

Central Avenue Improvements Project runs between 15th Street to Oppenheimer Drive.
