The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its Fiscal Year 2016 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada.
Acknowledged in the Certificate of Achievement was the NCRTD Finance Department including Finance Director Troy Bingham, Financial Analyst Pat Lopez and Finance Specialist Shannon Sandoval.
In announcing the award, NCRTD Executive Director Anthony Mortillaro stated, “This is the second time this award has been received by the NCRTD and we are honored by the distinction. It complements the recent award by the GFOA Budget Presentation. This award is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and represents a significant achievement by our organization.”
This is the second consecutive year that the NCRTD Finance Department has received this designation. In September of 2016, the department received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its Fiscal Year 2017 budget by the GFOA.
