PEEC News:

Join Los Alamos County Environmental Services Division Manager Angelica Gurule, for the next “Nature on Tap.”

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) will host this installation of “Nature on Tap,” which is part of an informal discussion series started by the Los Alamos Creative District. The talk is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28 at the Blue Window Bistro.

There have been a number of bears sighted around town this summer, searching for trash in bins and dumpsters, and many citizens are concerned for their own safety as well as the bears.’ Gurule will talk about how to keep bears alive and you safe, by taking proper care of your trash.

The “On Tap” series is a relatively new project from the Los Alamos Creative District and is held every Thursday with the themes “Nature on Tap,” “History on Tap,” “Science on Tap,” and “Art on Tap.” It is a great way to get out in the community and meet people with similar interests.

For more information about “Nature on Tap,” call PEEC at 505.662.0460.
