Nature On Tap: Bird Banding At Bandelier Sept. 10

CREATIVE DISTRICT News:

Come to UnQuarked Wine Bar 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 for Nature On Tap and learn more about the bird banding program at Bandelier National Monument.

Staff members from Bandelier will give a brief talk about the project and how individuals can get involved and then the audience can join in a lively discussion.

On Tap is a series of discussions hosted at UnQuarked in downtown Los Alamos. Each month features one On Tap with a rotating theme. The Pajarito Environmental Education Center partners with the Creative District to host Nature On Tap. The Los Alamos Historical Society and Fuller Lodge Art Center host History and Art On Tap, respectively. The Bradbury Science Museum hosts Science On Tap every month. 

Registration for this event is not required. Admission is free. UnQuarked Wine Room by Sirphey offers a wide selection of wines and beers on tap.  Be sure to arrive early to place your order from Sirphey’s made-fresh daily menu!

About the On Tap Series:

Nature On Tap is sponsored by the Los Alamos Creative District and hosted by the Pajarito Environmental Education Center. The On Tap series begins each evening with an informal 10-15 minute lecture followed by a lively group discussion. All ages are welcome! On Tap is a way for people to get out and about in the community, learn something new, and meet people with similar interests. The “On Tap” series meets twice a month at UnQuarked, The Wine Room and the discussions are supported by Bradbury Science Museum, Los Alamos Arts Council, Los Alamos Historical Society and The Nature Center.
