At 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at the Los Alamos Nature Center, Jean Dewart will share her story of hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, where she covered 235-miles in Oregon.
Regardless of all the difficulties in this endeavor, Jean spent six months training with multiple experimental loads in her backpack, pouring over route maps, and planning resupply positions. Not only will her presentation cover the stories of the trail, but Jean will also share how to prepare for such a hike.
Jean is a Los Alamos hiker, kayaker, and skier who grew up and began her outdoor adventures in Oregon.
This free presentation will take place at the Los Alamos Nature Center at 2600 Canyon Road. It is free to attend, and no registration is required.
