COMMUNITY News:

The community is invited to attend the third annual naturalization ceremony sponsored by the Rotary Club of Los Alamos.

The ceremony is 11 a.m., Saturday at Fuller Lodge.

At the oath ceremony, participants swear their allegiance to the United States and renounce allegiance to any foreign nations where they have previously held titles or citizenship. They also declare that they will support and defend the U.S. Constitution. They agree to bear arms on behalf of the U.S., perform noncombatant service in the armed forces, or perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by law.

Once the oath is complete, the participants receive their naturalization certificate and can apply for a U.S. passport and vote in national, state and local elections.
