During National Volunteer Week (April 21-27), Junior Achievement of New Mexico would like to recognize our more than 300 JA volunteers, statewide, who are helping students make the connection between what they learn in school and what they will need to succeed in work and life.
Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do! JA volunteers are part of a national network of more than 187,000 business and community representatives who are helping young people develop the competence, confidence and character needed for success in school, work and life.
Junior Achievement volunteers often fill a critical need for students: a need for positive role models. JA volunteers provide a valuable perspective on the importance of education to future success and bridge the gap between what students learn in the classroom and how to apply it. Without the dedication and support of our volunteers, we would not be able to do what we do on a daily basis: bringing financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness education to students across our community.
National Volunteer Week commemorates volunteers throughout the United States, honoring the people who dedicate themselves to taking action and solving problems in their communities. We hope you will join Junior Achievement of New Mexico in saying “Thank You!” to our outstanding JA volunteers!
