National Read-a-thon Day At Aspen Saturday Jan. 24

ASPEN ELEMENTARY News:

Aspen Elementary School is taking part in National Read-a-thon Day 12-4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24.

The goal of National Read-a-thon Day is to encourage individuals and families to spend the afternoon reading and enjoying books.

The Aspen staff will provide a variety of reading activities for elementary students including:

  • reading tents;
  • a puppet theater;
  • one-minute mysteries;
  • online Tumble Books; and
  • “fractured” fairy tales around the fireplace.

The public is welcome to attend the National Read-a-thon Day in Aspen’s school library at 2182 33rd St. Contact Aspen librarian Jeff Lloyd at 505.662.2296 with any questions.
