YMCA News:

Representatives from N3B visited the Los Alamos Family YMCA’s Afterschool Program Wednesday at Mountain Elementary School.

N3B donated to the Y’s Annual Campaign that raises funds for financial assistance and youth programs. One in four kids in the Y’s Afterschool program benefits from the scholarship assistance program.

Y Childcare Director Jamie Allbach shared with the visitors that she had recently called a mother who was on a Wednesday-only waiting list to let her know that her child could join the program. Allbach said the mother was worried about the cost, applied for assistance at the Y, which was awarded and for which she was extremely grateful, and that now her child is having fun in the program.
