A large crowd attended Wednesday’s annual science fair at Mountain Elementary School where nearly 100 exhibits were on display.
“I’m very impressed with the high caliber of projects this year,” Mountain Elementary Principle Jennifer Guy said. “I think many of these exhibits will be very competitive at the County Science Fair and some will go as far as state.”
“Nearly two-thirds of the exhibits seen Wednesday will be going to the County Science Fair Jan. 24,” explained Michele Altherr, 6th grade science teacher and fair organizer. All of the exhibits going to the County Fair must remain anonymous at this time. Those exhibits include all of the 6th grade entries and some of the 4th and 5th grade entries.
Public viewing at the County Science Fair is 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 in the Los Alamos High School Commons Area.
