Los Alamos Public Schools has announced that the number of positive COVID-19 cases among staff and students at Mountain Elementary School over the past 14 days is nearing the 5 percent threshold.
The decision has been made to transition to temporary remote learning beginning 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18 and extending through Monday, Jan. 24.
All in person classes, meetings or activities must be held remotely or rescheduled during this window, this includes after school clubs and YMCA.
Mountain Principal Brian Grass has sent a message to all students, staff and families with guidance on remote learning for the next 10 days.
