Mountain Club Adult Swim Program Begins Sept. 5

Mountain Club will have its adult swim program, starting Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018. Mountain Club would like to thank many adult swimmers and parents their valuable feedback, encouragement, and support for this program.

The goals for this program are:


  • Learn basic water skills to get comfortable in water, such as kick, walk, float in the water.
  • Learn how to swim with four strokes, free, back, breast, and fly strokes.
  • Improve techniques to swim with ease, beauty and speed.
  • Improve physical condition for our body.
  • Create a social environment for adults and parents to support each other.
  • Have a sense of accomplishment and be proud of ourselves. We might not swim faster than our kids, but we are trying to be the best of ourselves.
The following are the practice times and dates of the program, and any adult can participate any days. There are NO club practice in December and August for the adult program.
  • For AM group: 6:15 -7:15 a.m., Tuesday and Thursday
  • For EVE group: 6:15-7 p.m., Monday and Wednesday
There are $35 for annual club fee and $70 for annual US Swimming (USS) registration fee. The due will be $40 per month (in addition to pool pass).
  • If you are parents of Mountain Club swimmer, the due will be $30 per month (in addition to pool pass).
  • If you are seasonal swimmer, September – February (no December) and March – July, the due will be $150 per season (in addition to pool pass).
The Mountain Club coach Anna Zhang will lead this adult swim program. Anna has 15 years swim coaching experience and she has been an US Swimming official for many years. Anna has promoted swimming in our community through the following activities:
  • Coach the club swimmers.
  • Officiate NM swim meets and NM high school swim meets.
  • Teach private lessons for people with various ages at all the levels.
  • Instructor for Los Alamos Public School swim program.
