Another holiday weekend—hooray! Nothing to do? We have lots to do at Trinity on the Hill’s Generations service at 6:07 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 10 starting with a free dinner at 5:15 p.m. in Kelly Hall. We provide free daycare, too.
Stop for a moment and imagine what it would be like to see the world through the eyes of a 5-year-old child. What do you see? Or perhaps you see God in a sunset or in a stranger who helps another. God is the same from the beginning to now and beyond.God’s nature as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit never changes.
In keeping with our theme of “Who Is God?”, Mother Alicia Pope will explore the Holy Spirit. We will discuss who the Holy Spirit is, His nature, why we receive the Holy Spirit, and how the power from on high transforms our lives. Mother Alicia says that “this topic is so awesome! The Holy Spirit is alive in us, and I can’t wait to share about it!”
We will only have one service in November (Nov. 10) and one in December (Dec. 8) because of the holidays. But we’ll be back! Generations will return to our regular schedule of the second and fourth Sundays every month starting in January. And for those of you who missed an amazing dulcimer performance by Jonathan and Tessa Dowell at our last service, Jonathan will be playing for the Christmas service on Dec. 8; then he and Tessa will both return to perform with Generations March 9—just in time for a full Celtic service celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! Be sure to mark those dates now on your calendar! But meanwhile, see you Nov. 10, and help us Rock the House of God!
