Staff Report:

The The Third Annual UNM-LA Music Marathon provided a full six hours of musical entertainment on Sunday, Feb. 10. The event raised more than $700 for UNM-LA scholarships and attracted approximately 200 music-lovers to the campus.

Ranging in age from tiny tots to senior citizens, performers presented a wide range of music at the Marathon. Contemporary jazz,  Renaissance viol, and classical piano were all on the program.

Organizers (and performing pianists) Juanita Madland and Rheta Moazzami would like to thank all those who attrended and especially the more than 30 musicians who performed at the event.

The pianists included Judy Gursky, Beth West, Bonnie Kiang, Marie Andrew, Phyllis Slattery, Claudia Hilko, Colleen LaPorte, Rheta Moazzami, Robin Guruke, Susan Mendel and Juanita Madland. Photo by TK Thompson/ladailypost.com
