NMGC News:
ALBUQUERQUE — Starting later this week, New Mexico Gas Company customers will have more options for paying their monthly natural gas bill.
Effective Friday, September 12, customers can go onto our website and pay via:
- PayPal, PayPal Credit, Venmo, Apple Pay and Google Pay digital wallets
- Credit and debit card payments using American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover
- One-time online ACH payments using a checking or savings account
- Free set-and-forget autopay using a checking or savings account
- A free 24-hour automated phone system to pay anytime
- Lower residential payment fees: reduced from $1.95 to $1.75
Customers can save their preferred methods to use with future payments. As before, customers can pay in person at any of our New Mexico Gas Company walk-in payment centers, by mail and through Western Union locations.
“This change is all about convenience for our customers,” NMGC President Ryan Shell said. “These new options reflect our focus on meeting customer expectations. We are pleased that we were able to reduce the residential payment fee by 20 cents.”
As part of the change, online or automated telephone payments will not be accepted between 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept.11, and 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12. With the new options, customers may notice differences in the look of the NMGC payment website, but payment functions will be similar and easy to navigate.
