The community is invited to hear mini-lectures at the Demo Garden Fair and Plant Sale 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday June 8 at the Demo Garden across Central Avenue from Mesa Public Library.
Learn more about gardening in Northern New Mexico. The Los Alamos Master Gardeners Association is presenting three mini-lectures and clinics:
Perennial Selections at 9 a.m.;
Insects and Disease at 10 a.m; and
Annual Color in the Flowerbeds at 11 a.m.
The lectures are by NMSU Extension Horticulture Specialist Marisa Thompson and Los Alamos County Extension Horticulture Agent Carlos Valdez.
These talks are being held as a part of the Demo Garden Fair and Plant Sale. Other events include a plant sale, activity for childrens and Master Gardeners throughout the garden to answer questions on the Demo Garden and gardening.
