COMMUNITY News:
Miles Iverson from Troop 22 completed his Eagle Project Sunday, Sept. 10.
His project was to build and install a hitching rail and museum sign for the Los Alamos Historical Society.
The sign explains the historical significance of the hitching rail and the importance of horses at the Ranch School. It also explains how Troop 22 was established at the Ranch School since the curriculum already included Scouting.
Troop 22 also was the first Boy Scout Troop with a mounted patrol. In addition, he also built and installed a memorial bench for Josh Miko, which is placed next to the hitching rail.
The location of his project is on 19th street behind the Bathtub row houses, next to the Pueblo ruins.
