The Los Alamos Public Schools’ Healthy Schools Initiative is hosting “Middle School 101,” a workshop to help 6th grade students and parents feel prepared for the transition to middle school. One workshop will take place from 5:30-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, at the Barranca Elementary School gym.
This workshop is specifically designed to ease any nerves 6th grade students might have and will answer questions like, “What happens if I am tardy to my next class?” and “How much homework will I have?”
Attendees will get the chance to meet current Los Alamos Middle School students and teachers who will give the scoop on 7th grade.
Students and parents from Aspen, Barranca, and Mountain are encouraged to attend the May 23 workshop at the Barranca gym. Please RSVP to Principal Virginia Terrazas at email@example.com.
