Owner Oscar Duran told the Los Alamos Daily Post today that he will close down his restaurant, Mi Casita, in the VFW building on Trinity Drive at 2 p.m. Friday after serving the final lunch. “We gave it a good run but our business dried up in the spring after the Lab began laying off its contractors … they were our main business,” he said. Duran opened Mi Casita 2.5 years ago and said that initially his customers packed the restaurant and spilled over into another room in the building.
