The family of Genéah Dolores Rickman, who died March 20, 2015, has planned a memorial celebration at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2015, at the Los Alamos Sheriff’s Posse Lodge.

All who knew Genéah are invited to share their stories, and to come hear others’ remembrances as well. Friends and loved ones who are not comfortable speaking in front of others may submit a written memory to be read at the celebration. Guests are invited to share food and drink during and after the structured portion of the event and to hang out and share memories, laughter, and tears informally afterward.

Genéah enjoyed seeing friends at the Posse Lodge during the monthly pancake breakfasts, so the venue is most appropriate. June 21 is the Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year, so there should be plenty of time for everyone to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman, who was an inspirational teacher, mentor and friend to so many Los Alamos residents.
