Los Alamos County has hired PGA Professional Sam Logan as the new manager of the Los Alamos Golf Course. He came on board Monday and following two days of orientation is now on the job at the golf course.

Logan comes to Los Alamos from his most recent position as general manager at TPC Cartagena in Columbia, South America. He has worked for golf resorts on five continents and specializes in grand openings.

I chose to come to Los Alamos and become part of the community so my son Jack could grow up in a great school system, Logan said. As general manager, my role will be to improve the overall experience for everyone coming to the golf club and oversee all aspects of the golf club including operations, maintenance and finances.

Logan is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. He is married to avid golfer Gina Logan, who is looking forward to joining the Los Alamos Womens Golf Association. The couple’s son Jack is 9 years old.
