McClellan Top Predictor In Season’s Final Pace Race

Laura McClellan was the best predictor in Atomic City Road Runner’s final pace race of the 2016 season held on the Canyon Rim Trail off East Road N.M. 502.
 
She recorded a 4 second differential off her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Chris Michel and Bob Weeks tied at 9 seconds off, Nick Parra-Vasquez and Jesse Woodroffe also tied at a 22 second difference, Allison Chan at 32 seconds off, and Jackie Marr with a 33 second differential.
 
On the 1 mile course, 8-year- old Neal Sanders was the top runner with a time of 9:08. Savanna Strother, 9, was the fastest female at 10:16.
 
Becky Chamberlin was the best 1.5 mile runner recording a 15:04. The fastest male was Brian Newnam with a time of of 16:38.
 
On the 2.6 mile course, Ryan Smeltzer came in at 18:09 for first place and the top female runner was Roxana Candia at 19:38.
 
The Club hopes everyone had an enjoyable season and will join us for the 2017 season, which will begin at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Canyon Rim Trailhead across from the Co+op Market off East Road (N.M. 502). 
 
Stay tuned for more specifics regarding the annual CROP Walk/Turkey Trot to set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 at Los Alamos Middle School.
