PEEC News:

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) will host a Summer Family Evening, 6:30-8 p.m., July 22 at which staff members from the YMCA will facilitate a fun activity helping kids make pet rock “siblings.”

Families are welcome to drop in any time throughout the program.

After going outside to search for a pair of rocks, kids and their parents will bring them back in to PEEC where they can use different art and craft supplies to make their very own pet rock “siblings.”

The child gets to keep one rock, and the other goes in the Hilltop Garden at PEEC. Then the next time they visit the garden, they can bring their pet rocks to visit their “brothers” and “sisters.”

The event is free to attend for PEEC members; the cost for non-members is $5 per family, regardless of how many are in the family. No advance registration is required. To learn more about this and other PEEC programs, visit http://www.PajaritoEEC.org, contact 505.662.0460 or Programs@PajaritoEEC.org.
