COUNTY News:

Five-year-old Macie Rice is the winner of the Los Alamos County “Snowplow Truck Naming Contest”. Rice received a $100 gift certificate from the snow removal team within the County’s Traffic and Streets Division in recognition of her winning entry, “Snow Way”.

The contest, launched Oct. 25 during the Trick-or-Treat on MainStreet event, drew more than 150 name suggestions. Rice’s submission was selected by the snow removal team for its creativity.

“Snow Way” made its debut appearance driving down Central Avenue later that evening during the annual Holiday Lights Parade.
