The League of Women Voters of Los Alamos will host its monthly community event, Lunch with a Leader, at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 21 at Mesa Public Library

The speaker is Sanders Moore. Moore is the State Director for Environment New Mexico where she works to protect air, water, and open spaces in the state. Prior to joining ENM in 2010, she worked at the Georgia Conservancy for several years on improving air quality in the metro-Atlanta area through education and advocacy and decreasing the organization’s environmental footprint.

At the July 21 meeting, Moore will discuss solar power and her focus to make New Mexico a leader in the solar industry and  climate change. She will answer questions or address other environmental issues such as clean water and fracking.

Moore received her Master’s in Environmental Law & Policy from Vermont Law School and her B.A. from Wesleyan University.

To purchase a $10 lunch from the Co-op, contact Karyl Ann Armbruster at kaskacayman@gmail.com or 505.231.8286 by Friday, July 17, and she will provide the menu choices.
