Lunch With A Leader: Ellen Ben-Naim Tuesday

The League of Women Voters will feature First Born Program Manager Ellen Ben-Naim as its leader at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday in Graves Hall at United Church on Canyon Road/Rose Street.

Ben-Naim has lived in Los Alamos since 1996 and is active in the community both professionally and as a volunteer. She was elected to the Los Alamos School Board in 2017 and now serves as vice president. Prior to this, Ben-Naim served 2012-2016 as program coordinator for the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board.

Her previous positions include Children’s Books Buyer and Community Liaison for Otowi Station Bookstore, Religious School director of the Los Alamos Jewish Center and case manager for the Interfaith Recovery Network following the Cerro Grande Fire.

Ben-Naim is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Los Alamos. She has served on the LAPS School Bond Committee, LAPS Mental Health Design Team, Community Health Council and Library Board.

Ben-Naim received a Master of Arts Degree from Brandeis University in Jewish Education and Jewish Communal Service and a bachelor’s degree from Duke University. She is married to Eli Ben-Naim and the couple has three children, young adults in grad school, college and high school.
