Luján Raises Over $1.5 Million For Senate Race During Q2

U.S. Senate candidate Ben Ray Luján

From the Ben Ray Luján for Senate Campaign:

NAMBÉ – Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Ben Ray Luján raised more than $1.5 million during the second quarter.

This is Luján’s highest fundraising amount received for a quarter yet – and the best second quarter for any New Mexico Senate candidate ever – during the election year.

“Over the last three months, New Mexicans across the state – in each of the 33 counties – pitched in to support Luján’s campaign to build a better tomorrow for New Mexico,” Campaign Manager Travis Brimm said. “We’re building a grassroots movement of New Mexicans who know Ben Ray is the right choice to help our state recover during and after COVID-19, expand economic opportunities, increase access to affordable health care, and champion our shared values. Our campaign is entering the last four months of the election in a strong position to continue this momentum and elect Ben Ray as the next Senator for New Mexico.”

Luján is committed to running a campaign powered by the people and rejects corporate PAC money. Between April 1 and June 30, he raised more than $1.5 million from more than 21,000 supporters, including contributions from each of New Mexico’s 33 counties. More than 89 percent of donations were $25 or less. The average donation was $34.48, and the average online donation was $17.28.

Luján also is engaging with each of New Mexico’s 33 counties through his statewide Virtual Road Trip and through a robust outreach plan to connect with voters both virtually, and when safe, through in-person events.

Luján faces Republican Mark Ronchetti in the Nov. 3 General Election.
