CONGRESSIONAL News:

ALBUQUERQUE Tuesday, Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM-01) joined executives from the Air Force Research Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and the University of New Mexico for a discussion on collaboration, improving the workforce pipeline, and the Open Campus and I-Corps policies. Rep. Lujan Grisham released the following statement after the meeting:

“New Mexico’s national and defense laboratories play a critical role in our national security, and each one is a vital job creator and source of economic development for our state. Today’s meeting was a continuation of our work to spur collaboration among the private, public, and academic sectors so that this region has a comprehensive education and workforce pipeline that meets the needs of labs, graduates, and working families. New Mexico has the potential to lead the nation in STEM-related job growth, and these discussions help us move in that direction. We must leverage every resource that’s available to inspire, educate, and develop New Mexico’s diverse future generation of scientists, engineers, and technical experts.”
