VALLES CALDERA News:

• Los Amigos de Valles Caldera Old-Timers and Members BBQ at 3 p.m., Saturday Aug. 4

Los Amigos de Valles Caldera would like to invite you to a free BBQ at the Valles Caldera National Preserve. 

The Valles Caldera management has been kind enough to allow us to use the bunkhouse in the Historic Area. 

For those interested we will also have a morning work session to clean up around the headquarters area.

This event gives members and old-timers a chance to enjoy time on the Preserve, learn about restoration work, and visit with old friends and Preserve staff.

We are meeting at 2 pm at the Bunkhouse for introductions and a presentation about the restoration work on the Preserve that the grants secured by Los Amigos have funded. 

The BBQ dinner will follow.

For those who plan to participate in the work session, we will form crews at 9:30 a.m. and work at various locations. 

Appropriate clothing, gloves and water for outside work are advised. There are facilities to wash up and change clothes before the program begins.

Please bring a folding chair to sit on.

Thought the event is free, we need to know how many people to prepare for so we request that you email or call to make a reservation.
