In matches played Saturday, April 19, in Santa Fe, a Los Alamos Tennis Club (LATC) team captained by Joel Williams defeated a tennis team from the El Gancho Fitness Swim and Racquet Club by the score of 3-1.
Two singles matches and two doubles matches were contested. In the number one singles match Geoff Mills of LATC defeated Larry Keller 6-2, 6-0.
In the number two singles match Edgar Faune of the LATC defeated Hans Bakker 6-0, 6-3. In number one doubles a LATC team of Chris Lee and Joel Williams dropped a three set decision to Sherman/Stewartt 6-2, 3-6, 0-1.
In the number two doubles match the LACT team of Tom Kelly and Bob Nolen were victorious over the El Gancho team of Fowler/Harrington.
The number three doubles match was not contested as neither LATC nor El Gancho could field a team; this resulted in a double default. The matches were played in the Northern New Mexico USTA Adult 18 & Over (3.5) League.
