At the request of Los Alamos County, the Los Alamos Teen Center (LATC) is temporarily halting its programs and reducing its maximum attendance through Jan. 25 at which point the County will reassess the situation.
Beginning today, the maximum capacity allowed in the LATC is 10 teens at one time. This will continue through Jan. 22 when Los Alamos High School ends its temporary remote instruction period.
The intent is to return to a capacity of 25 on Jan. 24, with the limits to increase as dictated by conditions in the community. These restrictions mimic the ones LATC operated under during much of last school year.
LATC has chosen to stay open, in the limited capacity detailed above, to continue to be a resource for the teens in the community.
Staff also are available on the Discord server, which served as an online Teen Center during the earlier parts of the pandemic.
