SPORTS News:

The Senior Softball District Tournament is underway and the Los Alamos County Little League senior team played the Pojoaque senior team Thursday at Lou Caveglia Field at the North Mesa Complex. Both teams were playing for a berth at the Southwest Regionals Tournament coming up later this month.

This was the best of three series to progress to the State Tournament.

The game began with Los Alamos taking a commanding lead of 9-0 in the first inning. As the game progressed, the Los Alamos batters were dominant and the game ended 22-2. The second game was much the same and Los Alamos won the series to progress to the state Tournament.
