Los Alamos Senior Olympic Games Continue

This Week’s Senior Olympic Games Schedule:

  • Monday: 8-ball pool (1 pm) and racquetball (Y at 2:30 p.m.)
  • Wednesday: Talent and Dance at the Betty Ehart Senior Center (noon)*
  • Friday: bowling singles at the Big Rock Casino Bowl (1 p.m.)
  • Saturday: track and field at Los Alamos High School (8 a.m.)

*The public is invited to join the Senior Center post-lunch crowd as part of the audience for the Los Alamos Senior Olympic Games Dance and Talent competition. Terry Goodwin and Selmo Jaramillo will be doing three dances. In the Latin category, they will dance the Rumba to “Quisas, Quisas, Quisas.” In the Swing category they will do two dances; West Coast Swing to “Got to Get You Off My Mind” and Jitterbug to “High Class Lady.”

For the Talent competition, Inez Ross, local author and runner, will do a dramatic reading. Louisa Gillani, newcomer, also will do a dramatic reading.

Late registrations are welcome this year. If you wish to compete in any of the events still on the schedule please contact local coordinator, Ann ReVelle, at 505.662.3526 or laseniorolympics@yahoo.com. Next week (May 5-10) the games conclude with air gun, horseshoes, huachas (washers), frisbee distance, softball throw and soccer kick.
