At the Los Alamos Rotary Club’s Tuesday meeting at the Manhattan Project Restaurant, Rotarian Tony Chan gave a presentation about his family’s trip on the Silk Road, which included exploring Kashigar, Urumqui and Turfan . In addition to the wintery scenes Tony Chan captured in his photos during a trip through the Silk Road, the crowd at Tuesday’s Rotary meeting learned about how Chan and his family encountered wild camels, drank tea mixed with saffron and honey at restaurants, and entertained locals by dancing disco moves in the streets.
