Los Alamos Middle School Celebrates Pi

The staff and students of Los Alamos Middle School love Pi … some more than others. The number Ï€ is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, commonly approximated as 3.14159. More than 40 students were able to memorize the first 20 digits of pi, but one student, Tazler Smith was able to memorize the first 113 digits, displayed on a poster by the math department.
