The first-ever Women’s Healthy Life Symposium and Celebration is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at Los Alamos Medical Center.
Bring a friend, a sister, a neighbor, a mother, or a daughter with you! From breastfeeding and belly dancing to menopause management and yoga, the healthcare providers at LAMC have something to offer every woman.
One of the most-exciting aspects of this first-ever event, is the fact that 17 different physicians and healthcare providers are presenting information, live and in-person. This is a tremendous opportunity to sift through the rumor and internet myths on women’s healthcare and receive solid, first-hand information on all the subjects that are so important.
The event is designed much like a Ted-Talk. Instead of a traditional health fair format with rows of booths filled with vendors, we have four different presentation rooms. Each room will have a 20-minute presentation and a five-minute Q&A every half-hour. There are four different tracts, so attendees can stay in one room, or move around from presentation to presentation, whatever is appealing.
During the event LAMC also will provide a limited number of free flu shots, a limited number of vouchers for $25 lipid profiles, and many different free health screenings.
