Los Alamos Medical Center (LAMC) was recently recognized by the Hospital Engagement Network (HEN) Partnership for Patients campaign.
The HEN campaign project was designed to help identify solutions to reduce hospital acquired conditions and readmissions, and then provide those solutions to hospitals and other health care providers. LAMC received the award for meeting and improving all patient safety goals and core measures across the entire hospital system.
“We improved by 89 percent over the past three year period, moving from the bottom 10 percent to the top 10 percent nationwide,” CEO Feliciano Jiron said. “This award is a direct reflection of our clinical staff and the standard of compassionate care they provide to our patients.”
“We are always thrilled when our dedicated staff receives recognition for their hard work,”said LAMC Chief Nursing Officer Tracie Stratton. “They have been consistently improving the level of care they provide, and that hard work has paid off with happier, healthier patients. The HEN recognition award is just an additional, well-deserved, pat on the back.”
Los Alamos Medical Center is a regional hospital providing compassionate care close to home to the people of north central New Mexico.
