Mike Lyon of Los Alamos is spotted Thursday walking along the Canyon Rim Trail, and whenever he came upon trash he stopped to pick it up and throw it into the nearest receptacle. ‘I hate trash‚’ he told the Los Alamos Daily Post. Lyon walks 5 miles every other day and does his best to keep the trail looking beautiful. The 78-year-old is on track to walk 1,000 miles this year.
