Los Alamos Main Street announces that Burgandy Brock has been selected as Community & Marketing Manager of projectY cowork Los Alamos.

As Community & Marketing Manager, Brock will oversee day-to-day management of projectY cowork — the downtown coworking space that strengthens the local economy by providing convenient and affordable work spaces for entrepreneurs, remote workers, freelancers and others.

Brock previously served as Resource Center Aide at Family Strengths Network in Los Alamos, where she welcomed visitors, maintained library inventory, coordinated facility programs and assisted with communications. She is a Los Alamos native, graduated from Los Alamos High School and is an upcoming 2018 Leadership Los Alamos alumna.

“I’m very much looking forward to my new position at projectY cowork and working with entrepreneurs, remote workers, freelancers and others who want a collaborative workspace environment,” Brock said. “I believe my time at Family Strengths Network laid a great foundation for me to step into this position, and I’m eager to interact with a new subset of the community.”

Since its inception in June 2016, projectY cowork has hosted more than 200 entrepreneurial events attracting more than 2,500 individuals from Northern New Mexico. Lauren McDaniel, former projectY cowork Director, became Los Alamos MainStreet Director in April. projectY cowork will now be managed as a MainStreet program in conjunction with the Creative District.
