Los Alamos Locations Featured In 2018 Fiber Crawl

2018 FIBER CRAWL News

Two locations in Los Alamos will host fans of fiber arts Saturday and Sunday in conjunction with the 2nd Annual New Mexico Fiber Crawl.

The Los Alamos Fiber Artists Show is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to I p.m. Sunday in the Pajarito Ballroom in Fuller Lodge.

Artists include:
  • Stephanie Hagelberg – hand dyed yarns and knitwear;
  • Valentina Devine – hand dyed yarns and knitwear;
  • Zandra Hall – weaving;
  • Maria Eva Jonsson – weaving;
  • Susan Lime – decorative and felted products;
  • Betsy Robin – leather and fabric totes;
  • Samuel Buelow – knits, temari, felted and crocheted creations;
  • Lori Roberts – crocheted dolls and small animals;
  • Janet Donnelly – pillow cases from beautiful fabrics;
  • Nicole Dunn – quilting and fabric pieces;
  • Katie Korkos – quilting and fabric pieces; and
  • Jo Ann Painter – quilting and fabric pieces.

The Los Alamos Piecemakers Quilt Guild will display their raffle quilt and sell tickets for the raffle.

Fuller Lodge Art Center is a hub for the Fiber Crawl and has extended its hours to match the Fiber Artists Show next door in the main Fuller Lodge area. The Art Center also will host a reception 5:30-7 p.m., Friday.

Participants in the Fiber Crawl are being encouraged to take advantage of the chance to visit local fiber businesses such as Warm Heart Yarn and Atomic Quilts on Central Avenue. This three day Fiber Crawl  spans from Tierra Amarilla to Taos, Espanola, Santa Fe, Jemez Springs and Los Alamos.
