Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos
Brian Han, who earned a scholarship this year from the Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos was introduced at the Club’s July 11 meeting.
He is the son of Kathy Leng and Cliff Han. His proud mother was in attendance.
Han has a substantial background of volunteer work in our community. During his time as a Key Club member, he was the Sangre de Cristo Lieutenant Governor and the Membership Growth and Retention Chairman. While working more than 200 volunteer hours, he created district-wide initiatives to grow membership and organized divisional events for four Key Clubs.
A summary of Han’s activities shows that he was also a Sunday School teacher for the First Baptist Church of Los Alamos where he prepared and taught bible lessons. He served as an SAT tutor, preparing twice-weekly SAT reading and writing lessons and creating individualized study plans for participants. He was also Secretary and Publicist for Rotary Interact, designing flyers and social media posts to promote community activities such as the Ukraine Peace Glow and Crab Fest.
