LAAC News:
The Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) is hard at work planning for its annual Kite Festival in 2023.
After a multi-year hiatus due to pandemic restrictions and last year’s fire emergencies, LAAC is bringing this multi-day event back to Los Alamos County at Overlook Park in White Rock.
Several community organizations will be hosting kite decorating and building workshops with children in the community and April 19, LAAC will host the Paseo Project, from Taos, as they introduce their artist in residence, Jemila McEwan to the after-school programs at Fuller Lodge Art Center.
LAAC is still seeking donations and volunteers and is having a tee shirt fundraiser to offset the cost of the free tee-shirts distributed to youth at the event May 20.
